Sanctuary’s Offerings
As a mixed-use and master-planned community, Sanctuary offers residents and guests an entertainment and retail district, all inspired by classic Hill Country design and on 300 acres.
Salado is located in the heart of Texas, along the Balcones Fault. It is full of history, such as Salado Creek, a Texas Natural Landmark, and the Stagecoach Inn, which was a stop along the Chisholm Trail.
Found less than an hour away from Austin, this village is close to it all, while still providing a serene and quaint place to live, shop, eat, play, and beyond.
In its early years, Salado received a steady flow of visitors because of its location on the Chisholm Trail. Today, travelers from all over come to enjoy this one-of-a-kind destination. Designated a Cultural District by the Texas Commission on the Arts, Salado boasts many art studios and galleries, and between February and November, every fourth Friday is reserved for the Royal Street Art Walk, which showcases art demonstrations, live music, craft beer, and more. The historic downtown district — with its landmark, spring-fed Salado Creek — features an array of boutiques, restaurants, and wineries.
The Salado Chamber of Commerce organizes and plans numerous events throughout the year:
Christmas Stroll – December Scottish Festival – November Pizza Festival – March Tablerock Ampitheater – Shakespeare (summer), Legends (August), Christmas Carol (December) Barrow Brewing – Live Music Salado Glassworks – Glass blowing
